A Discovery of Stories

From Ghana to Cuba, Senegal to France, India and beyond, my travels have introduced me to extraordinary people whose authentic stories remind us that we are all connected.

Exploring our world and discovering its diverse cultures, customs, and languages has enabled me to capture the beauty, traditions, and daily rhythms of life through photography and literature. My hope is to bring our world a little closer to those who may never have the opportunity to travel, while celebrating the connections, shared humanity, and stories that unite us as one global family.

Through the pages of her grandmother’s travel diary, a young girl is transported to countries around the world where she makes new friends and discovers diverse cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Guided by a special necklace passed down from her grandmother, she is able to understand and communicate across languages, breaking down barriers and forming meaningful connections wherever she goes. Along the way, she learns that while people may live differently around the world, the hopes, dreams, and stories we share connect us all as one global family.

A New Chapter of the Inspires Story

What began as a journey to help others share their authentic stories has grown into Inspires Foundation, a nonprofit organization which is dedicated to creating welcoming spaces where everyone is seen, heard, and valued through storytelling.

As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the Inspires Foundation is proud to present I Dream America, its first storytelling exhibition, featuring the authentic voices, portraits, and dreams of 20 storytellers from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. The exhibition celebrates the belief that it is our diverse stories, experiences, and perspectives that help shape the American story.

Together, these voices invite us to reflect on one simple but powerful question..
